			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>ArtSpace at the <a href="http://tunbridgelibrary.org" title="Official Library Site" target="_blank">Tunbridge Public Library</a> presents &#8220;Our Town: A Snapshot of Tunbridge Residents in 2011,&#8221; by photographers Laura DeCapua and Geoff Hansen. Over 30 framed photographs will be on display from <strong>Jan. 15 to Mar. 10, 2012</strong>. An opening public reception is to be held <strong>Sunday, Jan. 15, from 2-4 PM</strong>.</p>
<p>The photo show celebrates the people who call Tunbridge home. Taken this fall, the environmental portraits include farmers, artists, students, hunters, business owners and retirees. A collection of scenics of the town &mdash; in its 250th year &mdash; are also included in the show.</p>
<p>Laura DeCapua is the youngest of eight children and hails from a small town in the Midwest. She received her Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Journalism and her Master&#8217;s Degree in Visual Communication. Laura&#8217;s photography career began 15 years ago and her work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers internationally, nationally and locally. Laura and her family have called Tunbridge their home for 10 years. <p>Geoff Hansen has been a photographer and editor at the <em>Valley News</em> for the past 22 years. His photography has appeared in a dozen books, including &#8220;The Joy of Keeping Chickens&#8221; and &#8220;Living with Pigs.&#8221; He is proud to be part of the Tunbridge community, where he has lived with his family since Oct. 2000. <p>The library is located on Route 110 in Tunbridge village, across from the Post Office, about five miles north of Route 14.</p>
<p>The library&#8217;s hours are Monday and Wednesday, 3-8 p.m., Thursday and Friday, 3-6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call librarian Jean Wolfe at 802-889-9404 for more information.</p>

<p>Students in grades K-6 are invited to come play ghoulish games, dine on spooky treats and make creepy crafts.</p>
<p>Each child in a costume will receive a $5 certificate good for a book purchase at the Scholastic Book Fair.</p>
<p>Volunteers are needed for turning the gym into a haunted setting from 11am-5pm and for take down at 8pm. Contributions of spooky treats gladly accepted by 5:30pm. Donations welcome.</p>

(EW!) reading mentoring program. To find out more about becoming a volunteer, please come to the new mentor orientation at the TCS library on Thursday, September 22, from 11-11:55am.</p>
<p>The Upper Valley Business and Education Partnership collaborates with Everybody Wins! Vermont to facilitate this successful literacy program which encourages enthusiasm and a positive attitude towards reading.  Adult volunteers from the community share good books and conversation one-on-one with elementary school students for one lunch hour per week.</p>
<p>Volunteers read on Mondays or Thursdays, from 11-11:55am in the TCS Library, starting the first week in October.</p>
